This is my story for Thursday December 19th…

Cold, Cold, Freezing… I would not want to be anyone who has to be out in this cold tonight… I hope that there is enough room in the shelters to have the homeless off the streets this evening… A warm bed and food will be the best medicine for the less fortunate… The food banks have been filling their shelves with food to help those in need… The Christmas hampers will be out next week for the less fortunate families… I wish everyone a very happy weekend, and be safe out there on the roads… 🙂 🙂

This is my story for Wednesday December 18th…

It’s getting closer to the day Santa comes to all the good boys and girls.. Soon the stations will be tracking Santa all around the world, like they always have… Soon the Christmas Story will be playing non stop on a channel everyone can get… What ever happened to Daniel and his dog Goliath and the story of Jesus?? I used to watch that when I was a lot younger… I kind a liked that little animation… If you know what I am talking about drop me a line… I’d like to know how many of us remember him and his dog… 🙂 🙂

This is my post for Thursday December 12th…

How has everyone been doing?  I trust your Wednesday was great and profitable… My day was quite nice as I had time to go visit with my fella Parker… He is starting to say nana now which is great to hear… He’s becoming quite the grumpy little man at times.. He is fighting sleep a lot.. He always seems to be hungry… I can’t believe how much he has grown up… He is now seven months and is a going concern… He is teething and he wakes up screaming… It’s really hard on his mom and dad.. Mom never seems to get a lot of sleep… We are all waiting for the time of the grumpys to go away… Well, everybody, I will see you all on Tuesday next week… 🙂 🙂

This the first part of my story for Wednesday December 11th…

This day has been one of snow again.. It’s minus 11 outside and you would freeze off you fingers if ya didn’t have a warm gloves… Tonight or tomorrow is going to be a carbon copy of today (Tuesday)… We went out to the Mandarin this evening to celebrate a birthday.. It has been along time since we have been there to eat.. The price has gone up like all places now… It cost near 30 dollars a person… Now I’m not one of those people who can eat that kind of food… The place is raking in the money for sure.. And we can’t even take home a doggie bag for Fido… What’s this world coming to????

This is my post for Thursday December 5th…

Today we had the most beautiful snow fall.. It’s the kind of snow fall you see on Christmas Cards… Big fluffy flakes that land on your nose and melt away slowly… I went out to shovel the snow and it really is heavy… There is so much moisture in the fallen snow.. If you are out there and have to shovel snow, be very careful… Also, watch out where you walk it will be slippery… Take good care out there… I’ll be back to see you on Tuesday December 5th… Till then have a great weekend… 🙂 🙂

This is my post for Tuesday December 3rd…

The weekend is over and we are into another week.. It will not officially be winter until the 21st of this month… We have received snow already that seems like it will stay on the ground… We are not too far away from Christmas Day and it just keeps getting closer… The stores are filled to the capacity… The shelves are empty after all the shoppers head home… Over night the shelves are filled, and the shoppers return… The holiday ritual is on the go again… I wish everyone a great shopping experience… 🙂 🙂

This is my post for Thursday November 21st…

Here it is Thursday November 21st…. I heard on the radio today that we are five weeks away from Christmas… Yikes!! 😦  I am not ready for that time to come around… I know my son and daughter in-law are going to host Christmas dinner this year… It was a nice surprise to know I’m not hosting dinner this year… Thanks to Mark and Tiffany for your kindness… The malls seem to have been pretty busy today.. I did not venture into the chaos and am metering the busyness by the amount of cars in the parking lot… I’m not a crowd dweller.. The sight of all those shoppers makes me feel like I can’t breathe.. I think I will go shopping for gift cards… The only one I can’t do that for is the baby… One way or another I will get it done soon… I wish you all well in the shopping malls… Happy shopping… 🙂

This is my post for Wednesday November 20th…

Do you ever have days that seem to be slipping away too darn fast? Well, I do… Today happens to be one of those days.. There just doesn’t seem to be enough hours in the day.. I scurry around like a squirrel hiding it’s nuts for winter.. This has to be done, and that does too.. Dinner will soon fill my time and so will the clean up.. Then I will have to poke away at the left over laundry that has been stalking me since yesterday.. That which is left over from the laundry the day before…  Once the sun goes down and I am fast asleep… I will wake to not enough hours in my next day of getting it done… Eventually, it will be finished as time and hours have a way of doing that to us… 🙂 🙂

Half way there…

                 Now, that’s cold…

I looked at the calendar today… I was hit with the reality that by Friday we will have hit the middle of November.. Where the heck has this month gone?? The start of the month was looking pretty darn good… Now, it has all gone to pot.. It amazes me how quickly the days pass by… I don’t know about you but, I’m cold, and I’ve even turned the heat up a little higher.. That’s not like me at all… If anything, I’m the one turning down the heat.. I have covered the bed with warm blankets, and a down filled comforter.. Sure the bed is cool under all those covers… Once you thrash around a bit, the sheets warm up some.. Unlike the couple in the photo above, I haven’t gone to winter coat wear as of yet… I hope you are keeping warm as well.. I’m speaking about all those who are experiencing winter conditions.. If you live in a place that is always warm.. I’m very jealous… 🙂

            Stuck to a pole… Like that… Not so good…

While looking through the buy and sell adds on Facebook… I happened to notice various people asking for orders for Christmas desserts… There were also decorations for the outside of a person’s home.. Those decorations were quite impressive.. Lots of gift ideas for the holiday season.. On our news there was an arsonist that started a fire in a car repair shop a few days back.. Today, (Wednesday) the news showed the video tape of the fire.. The person who started was running from the fire… The only thing was, he was on fire… It’s pretty sad… The burns he would have experienced would be rather horrific, and very painful… The ski hills were all talking about being open by this weekend.. Wow! That’s really fast.. They have been working each night to build up a solid base of snow.. I never have been a skier, and never will… Each time I think about trying skiing, I see myself  out of control… Speeding down the hill, headed for a group of  skiers.. I take all of them out, all at once.. There I am laying lifeless in a pile of moaning bodies.. May sound pretty funny, but not to me it don’t.. So if you decide to ski this coming weekend, watch out for the out of control person speeding down the hill behind you… 🙂

I applaud the photographer that took this photo.. The frost that has gathered on this creation is stunning.. The eyes are almost real in reflection… The pose in it’s self is so realistic, that one would think this is a real living man.. I believe it tells a story of aging and being frozen in time.. He is waiting for a return to his former self, and a life he once lived.. At least this is what I see… 🙂 🙂

These are my thoughts for Wednesday November 6th…

This day has been average for me.. The sun shone so bright today, and filled the living room with a soft inviting glow.. The trees still bend in the wind as so many days before.. The call for snow has chilled me to the bone.. I am dressed in layers to keep me warm.. Today was not a bad day.. It’s late as I finish the words that so many of you will read..
