This is my post for Thursday December 12th…

How has everyone been doing?  I trust your Wednesday was great and profitable… My day was quite nice as I had time to go visit with my fella Parker… He is starting to say nana now which is great to hear… He’s becoming quite the grumpy little man at times.. He is fighting sleep a lot.. He always seems to be hungry… I can’t believe how much he has grown up… He is now seven months and is a going concern… He is teething and he wakes up screaming… It’s really hard on his mom and dad.. Mom never seems to get a lot of sleep… We are all waiting for the time of the grumpys to go away… Well, everybody, I will see you all on Tuesday next week… 🙂 🙂

This is my post for Thursday December 5th…

Today we had the most beautiful snow fall.. It’s the kind of snow fall you see on Christmas Cards… Big fluffy flakes that land on your nose and melt away slowly… I went out to shovel the snow and it really is heavy… There is so much moisture in the fallen snow.. If you are out there and have to shovel snow, be very careful… Also, watch out where you walk it will be slippery… Take good care out there… I’ll be back to see you on Tuesday December 5th… Till then have a great weekend… 🙂 🙂

This is my post for Thursday November 21st…

Here it is Thursday November 21st…. I heard on the radio today that we are five weeks away from Christmas… Yikes!! 😦  I am not ready for that time to come around… I know my son and daughter in-law are going to host Christmas dinner this year… It was a nice surprise to know I’m not hosting dinner this year… Thanks to Mark and Tiffany for your kindness… The malls seem to have been pretty busy today.. I did not venture into the chaos and am metering the busyness by the amount of cars in the parking lot… I’m not a crowd dweller.. The sight of all those shoppers makes me feel like I can’t breathe.. I think I will go shopping for gift cards… The only one I can’t do that for is the baby… One way or another I will get it done soon… I wish you all well in the shopping malls… Happy shopping… 🙂

This is my post for Tuesday November 19th…

As I sit looking at our Christmas tree, I think of Christmas past.. The way the children were and still are very excited on Christmas morning… There was no sleeping in on that day.. The children would not allow that to happen.. I remember when I was young… My Dad would cook breakfast and get us to eat before we opened presents… He made bacon, eggs and toast.. A breakfast that we only got on Christmas Day… You got an orange as well, and that hard ribbon candy… It was a time of the year I will never forget… 🙂 🙂

Half way there…

                 Now, that’s cold…

I looked at the calendar today… I was hit with the reality that by Friday we will have hit the middle of November.. Where the heck has this month gone?? The start of the month was looking pretty darn good… Now, it has all gone to pot.. It amazes me how quickly the days pass by… I don’t know about you but, I’m cold, and I’ve even turned the heat up a little higher.. That’s not like me at all… If anything, I’m the one turning down the heat.. I have covered the bed with warm blankets, and a down filled comforter.. Sure the bed is cool under all those covers… Once you thrash around a bit, the sheets warm up some.. Unlike the couple in the photo above, I haven’t gone to winter coat wear as of yet… I hope you are keeping warm as well.. I’m speaking about all those who are experiencing winter conditions.. If you live in a place that is always warm.. I’m very jealous… 🙂

            Stuck to a pole… Like that… Not so good…

While looking through the buy and sell adds on Facebook… I happened to notice various people asking for orders for Christmas desserts… There were also decorations for the outside of a person’s home.. Those decorations were quite impressive.. Lots of gift ideas for the holiday season.. On our news there was an arsonist that started a fire in a car repair shop a few days back.. Today, (Wednesday) the news showed the video tape of the fire.. The person who started was running from the fire… The only thing was, he was on fire… It’s pretty sad… The burns he would have experienced would be rather horrific, and very painful… The ski hills were all talking about being open by this weekend.. Wow! That’s really fast.. They have been working each night to build up a solid base of snow.. I never have been a skier, and never will… Each time I think about trying skiing, I see myself  out of control… Speeding down the hill, headed for a group of  skiers.. I take all of them out, all at once.. There I am laying lifeless in a pile of moaning bodies.. May sound pretty funny, but not to me it don’t.. So if you decide to ski this coming weekend, watch out for the out of control person speeding down the hill behind you… 🙂

                    This photo is fascinating..

I applaud the photographer that took this photo.. The frost that has gathered on this creation is stunning.. The eyes are almost real in reflection… The pose in it’s self is so realistic, that one would think this is a real living man.. I believe it tells a story of aging and being frozen in time.. He is waiting for a return to his former self, and a life he once lived.. At least this is what I see… 🙂 🙂

Winter.. Yuck!

I will be writing from this blog, as http://www.marionbell.com is having some difficulties.. What they are I have no idea.. Till I get the site mended I will write on this blog site.. I thank you for all your patience in this matter.. 

It seems to be the time of the season for snow to fall.. Not only will snow fall but temperatures will take a big drop as well.. The snow has been falling here all day long.. There is a call for snow into Tuesday, and that weather is supposed to be quite nasty.. So, if you live around where I do.. (Canada)  Be careful out there on the roads.. The conditions have changed and you will need to pay attention to your surroundings.. And for goodness sakes,, “Slow down”  your life depends upon road conditions and your speed.. Please be safe…

              Bad weather, nasty road conditions…

Today, was remembrance day… I watched the laying of wreaths for the veterans lost in the wars.. There was snow falling pretty hard, as the soldiers marched down the main street of our city.. I remember hearing an older fella answer the question he was asked.. “How do you keep warm?”   The man answered with a smile and a chuckle.. “I wore two pairs of pajamas.” He chuckled and said, “Shush, I don’t want anyone to know.” The reporter laughed along with him… Little did he know he was heard over the televisions in many homes, around the world.. 🙂 🙂

                     Veterans…

This weekend, that has just passed was pleasant enough.. The yard got a leaf removal done.. There are still leaves on a few trees, and a plant of mine that is outside had a white bloom on it.. That plant and it’s bloom have all but died and been frozen.. I have rescued my pepper plant and have it under a grow light… It seems to be doing quite well so far.. Today, I seen some aphids on a couple leaves.. I cleaned them off and I am still wondering where the heck they would have come from.. Guess I will be googling later to find out how to protect this plant from these bugs.. The plant is inside the house and has been for a couple weeks now.. So, all I can do at this point is crush these bugs, and hope I got them all.. 

             Chicken chili..

During this last weekend I took my first stab ever, at making a chicken chili.. The results turned out pretty darn good.. My daughter-in-law can not eat beef at all.. Her tummy says “No way” and in light of that I made it for her.. I really like the taste, and will surely make it again.. I went shopping at Costco, and the place is all festive looking.. Toys, clothes and books for young and old fill the isles.. The pretty colors of wrapping paper and large bows brought a real spark to the surroundings.. Personally, I am not any where near ready for that time of the season.. And, I dis-like shopping all together.. “Grrrr.” I know I will have to make a trip to the stores, but I will have to do that soon and get that over with… We have to find a new tree this year.. We just need a small one, as it is just the hubby and me.. I would imagine the children will plan a get together before the day.. I kind-a hope one of my kids will make Christmas dinner this year.. We will see.. If push comes to shove I will take on the task..

      Swimming lessons…

This Monday evening was our grandson’s last swim lesson… He received his certificate for being a good new swimmer.. He does pretty good.. Grand-parents were able to come take photos of  the babies in the water.. He was smiling most of the time.. At least till the dunk time came along.. He came out of the water spitting, and sneezing, as tiny tears rolled down his face.. It only took a minute for mom to turn those frowns into smiles.. He just turned six months old and is crawling, and spoke his first clear word.. That was Da Da…  To say the least dad was very happy… Mom, well not so much, but she just laughed it off… She was hoping for him to say momma first.. Now they need baby proof all the house, as he will be all over the place.. It’s cool sitting back and seeing him achieving his growth..  🙂 🙂

This is my tale of a day at the pumpkin patch, for Monday October 21st..

The day was the most perfect day for the fall weather.. We packed the family into the car and headed for the pumpkin patch.. The secret must have been out, as many families had the same idea.. The place was crowded with people, and the line up to get in was long.. We had the best time ever.. I would recommend heading out with your families in the search for the perfect pumpkin.. This is my banter for Friday September 6th…

Hello everyone:: I hope your Thursday turned out as you had planned.. The weekend is just around the corner.. A time to rest and rejuvenate.. I must let everyone know that I will be away on an adventure for the next ten days.. There fore I will not be posting any banter or stories till the day of Tuesday September 17th.. There will be no internet where we are going, and no cellular service either.. I am looking forward to the adventure we are taking.. We know not yet what we will doing.. I’m sure it includes a roaring fire, and the outdoors.. I have plenty of things to do before we leave.. So I will be signing off, and wishing everyone of you a safe weekend and the coming week.. This is my banter for Tuesday September 3rd..

Hello friends:: I trust everyone had a great weekend, and went away for a bit.. We had a great weekend and ventured out like most people did.. The weather was perfect, and so was the company we shared.. School is back in.. I would like to ask everyone to take care around school zones.. Look out for the children crossing the roads each day.. The police will be watching and looking out for speeding in school zones.. Have good day on this Tuesday back to work.. This gal has got to run.. Take care of those you love, and be safe out there.. This is the last part to my story for Friday July 25th.

Hi everyone… The heat has struck the world again. This weekend will be quite warm and sticky. If you are a lot like myself, people will find us inside by the fan that blows the most cool air. I do not like the humidity. I have this thing about my clothes clinging to my sticky body. It feels like, trying to get dressed after stepping out of a shower. And not getting dried off enough. Just one of those things I’m not finding, my most fondest thing to do. I hope that if it is hot where you live, that you could do me a favor. Please make sure there is water outside for the furry, feathery, and hairless critters that depend on us to help them stay a live. Bring our pets inside, and out of the heat. Hydrate often, check on seniors, and your neighbors to make sure they are okay.. Lend a hand when ever you can…. Someone will appreciate you for it… Till next week.. Have a great weekend and Friday….
