What Santa brought.

With Christmas dinner gobbled down. Our family, sat talking, laughing, and telling jokes. The wonderful sounds of family together.

Christmas, takes days of preparation, and in a matter of a few hours, it’s over. Another holiday over, and another is sneaking up on us. We will be saying good-bye to 2018, and welcoming in the New Year. Twenty-nineteen is waiting on our doorstep. A new year, and new beginnings, 2019 will be a better year for all.

I received, really nice things from my family for Christmas, and I love every item. The one thing, I cherish the most about Christmas, or any other holiday, is being with family. Watching them as they talk, tell stories, or engage in a funny moment. Watching my grandson, amaze all of us with his card tricks.

My daughter’s fella, telling us when he first saw her, and how he made his moves. 🙂   How he offered a buy her a beer, and her saying,”I don’t drink beer.” How, he asked if he could buy her a drink, and she said. “Yes!” 🙂   That’s when their story began, and how four years later, they are together.  How his question to himself was, “Why did we wait so long?”   It’s funny, how our everyday events, can lead us to someone, who eventually, becomes the one and only.

Finding out, a little baby, will be coming into our family, in the New Year. Wondering, if our new addition to our family, would be a girl or boy. Then finding out, the name the baby would have. All the hugs, and congratulations, and finally hearing…. It’s a boy, and his name will be Parker.  Being very excited, because your pick was the name picked.

Watching the grand-children, open their presents, and the excitement on their faces. The joys of any parents, and grand-parents.  As I grow wiser, and my children come together as adults. I find, I delight, in the intellect of their conversations, and their memories of traditions. The gathering of family on Christmas Eve,  watching a movie, chowing down on yummy food, and opening only one present. Just enough, to excite the little ones.

No matter how we celebrate, or enjoy our traditions, we all enjoy the gathering of families.

I wish, all those that have time off, till January 2, 2019, and those that have to work in between the holidays. I wish you all, good fortune, peace, love, happiness, and good health.

“Have a wonderful Thursday, and take care of those you love.”

“Thank you,” to all my followers, readers, and visitors, who come to read my stories.  🙂
